Microneedling in Monroe, Georgia
Rejuvenate Your Skin with Microneedling
Our Family Health offers Microneedling to address a full range of skin concerns and leave you with brighter, clearer, healthier skin. Microneedling is a great, noninvasive option for reducing visible signs of aging by stimulating the natural production of collagen. This single treatment can help improve overall skin tone and texture, and reduce the visible signs of aging, including fine lines and wrinkles, as well as sun damage and hyperpigmentation.
How does Microneedling Work?
Microneedling, also known as collagen induction therapy, works by creating controlled micro-injuries in the skin, which stimulate the body’s healing process. This drives the production of collagen, which helps to strengthen and firm the skin’s infrastructure, leading to improved appearance, including the reduction of lines and wrinkles.
To accomplish this, after the skin is cleansed and topically numbed, very small needles are pressed into the skin, creating micro-injuries. Often, microneedling is combined with PRP face treatments to increase the overall impact and effectiveness of both treatments.

Most clients will require 3-6 treatments to get the maximum results. Once desired results are achieved, our licensed nurse practitioner will work with you to determine the frequency of future treatments needed to maintain results.
How frequently can I do microneedling?
We recommend spacing your treatments out by three weeks
Does microneedling hurt?
The level of pain and discomfort experienced during and following a microneedling treatment depends on many factors, including individual pain tolerances and sensitivities.
To provide our clients with the best possible experience, we first apply a topical numbing cream. This helps to reduce the pinching sensation experienced by many clients.
If you experience any pain during or following your treatment, your provider will help to determine ways to manage or treat the issue.
What is going to happen after my treatment session?
Immediately following your treatment there will be some redness and sensitivity. This should subside within 24-48 hours.
What areas of my body can be treated with microneedling?
Microneedling is safe to perform on any area of the body. A conversation with your provider will address any questions you may have on treatment areas.
Are there any post treatment instructions?
Avoid touching your face. After the first 4-6 hours, you may wash your face with gentle, non-exfoliating cleanser and lukewarm water.
Avoid applying make-up for at least 24 hours post-treatment.
Do apply a gentle hydrating serum or moisturizer.
Avoid sun exposure, strenuous exercise that may cause you to sweat, or harsh or abrasive skincare products for 48-72 hours following your procedure.
