This program is not eligible for insurance coverage. Visits with medical providers are eligible for insurance coverage.

Tirzepatide is the generic name for the active ingredients in Mounjaro. Mounjaro was specifically approved by the FDA for the treatment of type 2 diabetes and is manufactured by Lilly.

While both Tirzepatide and Ozempic can aid in weight loss, they are not the same. Ozempic is Novo Nordisk’s tradename for the generic medication Semaglutide. Ozempic has been specifically approved for the treatment of type 2 diabetes.

Our Family Health offers a Semaglutide Medical Weight Loss program in addition to our Tirzepatide Medical Weight Loss Program.

Semaglutide is a GLP-1 agonist that can help to control appetite and increase feelings of fullness. Tirzepatide in contrast combines a glucose-dependent insulinotropic polypeptide (GIP) and GLP-1 receptor agonist. This combination makes Tirzepatide a more effective tool for some people.

Our Tirzepatide Medical Weight Loss program includes regular body composition scale measurements to obtain a comprehensive view into your body composition analysis to evaluate that you are losing fat, not muscle, and staying well hydrated. Our medical providers can then work with you to suggest additional movement and muscle building plans when indicated.

As with all medications, some users do experience side effects. The most common side effect experienced while taking Tirzepatide is stomach pain. Your medical team member will discuss all side effects with you before prescribing Tirzepatide and can work with you to navigate any GI-related side-effects.

Yes, we offer a maintenance program for people who have previously taken a GLP-1 either through Our Family Health or from another provider. This program offers two 5.0    injections of Tirzepatide two times a month (every 14 days) for $219/month. To enroll in this program, please contact 770-464-0280.

Our Semaglutide and Trizepatide programs are both $329 to start as it allows our clients to ensure they are in the right program for them at a lower price point. Most programs in the area start at a higher price point in month 1. The price increases one time in month two and then freezes vs. continuing to charge more as dosages increase. We know this is more than a two-month journey and don’t want to continue to increase costs.
