Dr. Bryan Kirkland grew up in Dothan, Al where he attended Cottonwood High School and graduated as valedictorian of his class in 1994.  He then attended the University of South Alabama in Mobile, Al, and graduated in 1998 with a degree in Biomedical Sciences.  Dr. Kirkland spent a year working in a Biochemistry Lab before returning to South Alabama for medical school.  While in medical school he met his wife Rebekah, they were married in 2002.  He finished medical school in 2003 and moved to Kansas City to begin his residency training.

After completing the three-year residency program, he moved to Covington, GA, and began to work in Newton County.  The first year in Covington their son Luke was born, then 2 ½ years later their daughter Jackie was born.  Dr. Kirkland worked in Newton County for five years and then accepted a position with Conyers Family Practice.  

He spent a year there, and in December of 2012, he started working with Dr. Michelle Plaster in Monroe, GA. He and his family are members of Rockdale Community Church.  Dr. Kirkland practices general Internal Medicine providing primary care to adults and adolescents.  He has a special interest in diabetes and the prevention of heart disease.
