Transform Your Body
Our Family Health offers customizable weight loss programs, including our Medical Weight Loss Semaglutide Program to help you achieve your weight loss and wellness goals. Despite their best efforts, we understand that many people need help to achieve and maintain a healthy weight. We recognize that navigating a health and weight loss journey is not a one-size fits all approach, and we provide options to meet you where you are.

What is Semaglutide?
Semaglutide is a GLP-1 agonist prescription drug that can assist with the health barriers that often come with type 2 diabetes, insulin resistance, metabolic syndrome, and obesity. Semaglutide is administered through weekly injections. If you’d like to learn more about Semaglutide, two of our medical providers, Dr. Plaster and Nurse Practitioner Amber Foster, discuss Semaglutide in this episode of our podcast, “Between Two White Coats.”
How does Semaglutide work?
Semaglutide helps to release insulin only when necessary, making it an excellent medication for type 2 diabetics who are trying to lose weight without the risk of hypoglycemia. However, this medicine is also safe for weight loss for people who are not diabetic. Semaglutide injections aid in both appetite reduction and increasing feelings of fullness, making it easier for people to lose weight.

Is Semaglutide Effective?
Alongside lifestyle modifications, Semaglutide has the potential to support a 15-20% weight loss of total body weight, making it a valuable tool in managing diabetes and obesity. Our program also includes weekly check-ins to ensure you achieve results aligned with your goals.
How does the Medical Weight Loss Semaglutide Program work?
Our Family Health’s Medical Weight Loss Semaglutide Program helps patients lose weight in a healthy and sustainable way. The program involves a comprehensive evaluation of the patient’s health and medical history to determine if they are a good candidate for the program and to identify other medical issues that may be barriers to weight loss. Our medical providers will then work with you to develop a personalized weight loss plan that includes support with accountability.
The program cost is $329 for four weeks and includes the following:
- One monthly visit with a medical provider. These visits are eligible for insurance coverage, but not included in the $329 fee.
- Three visits with a Weight Loss Accountability Medical Assistant to support your lifestyle goals and actions related to weight loss.
- Four injections of Semaglutide; administered 1x/week
- Regular body composition scale measurements provide a comprehensive view of body composition analysis, ensuring you are losing fat, preserving muscle, and maintaining proper hydration levels.
