Carboxytherapy

Carboxytherapy for Brighter and Younger Looking Skin

Our Family Health is bringing carboxytherapy to Monroe, Georgia to provide new options for brighter, healthier skin. Using carbon dioxide gas, we are able to help with various skin conditions including cellulite, stretch marks, dark circles, wrinkles and other conditions.

What is carboxytherapy?

During carboxytherapy treatments carbon dioxide is injected under the skin using a fine needle. This gas below the surface of the skin causes slight, and short-term inflammation, which triggers the body’s natural anti-inflammatory response system. Blood flow and oxygen delivery is increased in the areas where the gas was injected, which stimulates the body to produce more collagen, elastin and hyaluronic acid. The increased production of these compounds in the injection areas increases skin elasticity and improves overall appearance.

What are the Benefits of Carboxytherapy?

Carboxytherapy can be used to treat a wide variety of skin conditions. It can decrease the amount of cellulite, the fat beneath the skin that gives it a lumpy appearance. Some applications of carboxytherapy can be used to sculpt the body by removing excess fat in specific locations.

Stretch marks, fine lines and wrinkles, and dark circles can be reduced in appearance by increasing blood circulation and stimulating the growth of new blood vessels.

Carboxytherapy can also be used to treat Reynaud’s disease or alopecia caused by decreased blood flow.

Frequently Asked Questions Carboxytherapy

What is carboxytherapy?

Carboxytherapy is a non-surgical method of improving the appearance of the skin using carbon dioxide gas, which is injected under the skin. This injection of gas stimulates the body’s natural systems to increase blood flow and oxygen in the treated areas, increasing the production of elastin and collagen. These changes taken in combination improve the condition and appearance of the skin.

How quickly does carboxytherapy show results?

Carboxytherapy requires multiple treatments to be effective. The exact number of treatments required depends on many factors including what the condition is that is being treated. For example, using carboxytherapy to treat alopecia or certain wounds may require 15-30 sessions, while reducing the appearance of under eye darkness or cellulite may only require five or six.

Our Family Health offers both face and body carboxytherapy packages that consist of six treatments to effectively address most common conditions.

How long do carboxytherapy results last?

The effects of carboxytherapy take some time to develop. After the initial treatment regimen, maintenance treatments are generally needed every six months to keep the results achieved during initial treatment.
